The air horns are problematic and draw a ton of current. The electrical systems in these cars arent what one could call robust.
Glad this product works for you! Mine is really helpful in ATL traffic.

These factory option foot pedals first appeared on the M2-1001 Cafe Roadster in 1991, then later on started showing up as an OEM Eunos Roadster Option. Back in the 1990's (in Japan) you could buy the full set for $140, or just buy the dead pedal for $55 and or just the 3 pedals (clutch, gas, brake) for $85. And for an extra service fee you could pay Mazda to install them for you, because you have to drill holes in your foot pedals (Brake and clutch) but I did it with a cordless drill, was not too much hassle. As long as you have GOOD drill bits (the ones with needle tip) otherwise the bit will walk on that smooth bare metal.

As you can see on the backside they have a nut holding them on, taking that off you can see they are drilled pedals.

So all I had to do (Since I have the complete assembly) was make a template and that way I have the exact points to drill them at.

I used painters tape for my template and then peeled it off the original and taped it to my pedals and started to drill away.

I cannot stress enough here that you have to have to have to use GOOD needle point drill bits, and use a punch to make an indention (a guide) for your bit to follow, otherwise your drill bit will walk all over the damn place on that slick metal.

Overall Im very happy with the look, I did have some of those other clip on pedals at one point but they just seemed cheesy, and this is more OEM++ IMHO. And if you ever want to go back to stock you can take these back off and just put the rubber foot pads back on the car.

Looking Smart. I have done this halfway with the rubber brake/clutch covers still on - on my 89 car. I think in the NA '2' with LNC they started having those pedals drilled through like the accelerator pedal, since my 92 White car has the holes.. already.
Psssssstt

So just an update..... after all the crazy c0\/1d and shitty lockdowns, and insane inflation, wars in Ukraine, possibly Taiwan next, and now everyone moving to my state (Florida) it used to be cheap and affordable to live here. Now not so much, gas was $2 a gallon, now its $4 a gallon, all the houses new and old have doubled in price, traffic is insane with more out of state plates then locals (not even joking) and yeah my life, like most of you as well, just went from laid back to super stressful in a hurry. So, long story short, I dont want to move because i love Florida and all my family and friends are here, but.... opportunity knocked and we answered. We managed to sell our house for double what we paid 4 years ago, and used all the money to buy an old house outside Tampa (in the country) with LAND, like 5 acres of land, its a gift in my eyes because no HOA, no CCD, and no noise. Just lots of trees, and I can shoot my guns hahahaha im in love. However in order to get the wife to agree to move I had to give up some hobbies because she gave up her brand new dream home for this fixer upper.
As you can see i have been selling off my hoard of parts that I have had stashed for 20 years LOL, but maybe not all. I was thinking........ Sell the 1993LE (because it has only 11K miles) and later after the kids are out of the house, buy a used V8Miata that someone is selling, and slap on this NoPro GTL kit, my SSR wheels, and the Recaro Seats and call it a day.
What do you guys think? Have I lost my mind? (probably) Do I sell everything and get out? Or save some choice bits and get V8 later with the NoPro Kit and SSR wheels??

Here is the new spread, (the Front Entrance) actually it used to be a dirt access road, all the way up to the house, we got it paved and I laid down 6 pallets of grass, ugh .....
Also .... the Mazdaspeed3 is a great double duty Car/Truck![]()

So you sold the car and the parts, or still making a choice about the car?

I like the V8 Miata idea but I would want to build it rather than buy it.
No todo que es oro brilla.
I looked at the costs and prior to the communist's lockdowns you could get a V8Miata that was built for like 25K (like a used built by FM version) now the prices are higher but once the fake stock market crashes the prices will come back to reality, or maybe even tanks, just depends on how far the stock market drops.
FM built V8s were around 40k and peaked at maybe 60-70k. Garage built like mine were 20-25k and probably back to that. If you really want a V8, then keep the LE also. I'm thinking about building another NA because honestly driving a V8 with N2 flares is a hassle on the street. To have a decent fender gap, I run at about 3.5" pinch weld height, 0.5" lower than it should ever be. That means everything scrapes, the oil pan (destroyed one), now the oil pan skid plate, the exhaust, everything under the car.
Sell enough to keep the wife happy, hold onto your favorite pieces, and take a break from cars. Then build a badass garage on your land and get back to work.

What druz said. Really envy you, having that much land is awesome. I would move to the countryside in a heartbeat.
I think you've made the right call, that new property looks awesome.
What's the plans with the LE, are you just going to keep it stock and enjoy? I know you were looking at turbo conversion at one point in this thread.
I'm still in two minds with mine. Keep it an OEM+ cruiser and enjoy it for what it is or build the engine for NA or Turbo.
Randy,
I still have my V8 and it was appraised for $45,000. Sounds like a lot, however I have no plans to sell the car. However, I agree with you with what is happening in Florida. Its got to the point where I no longer feel safe driving the Miata in the traffic with the crazy drivers and number of
people driving without insurance.
