    Love this kind of stuff. I have the interest, but sadly, I often don't have the luxury of time to make a lot of this stuff. Thus it gets bought.

    I spend a lot of time on Garage Journal and love how resourceful people have made their own long belt sanders, portable band saw tables, stamping dies, etc. And so much of it is additive. You can start with nothing more than a piece of steel and a fire and make a forged hammer and a chisel from which you can make a flat file and other handy tools. Then it's onward and upward from there. There's a million and one uses for a quality Made in the USA Baldor industrial motor.
