Eldest son and I swung by Integrated to wish the crew a happy holidays and get a new master cylinder that was leaking. As always, really enjoyed the drive together…

After Adam worked his magic on my gauges there was something incomplete with my interior. I appreciated the complete AWD HVAC kit but it didn’t match the gauges. There was also a bulb that needed replacing that I'd been procrastinating about. As much as I love the Nielex tombstone cover and Hayashi vents, it’s a lot more work to take them out.

I reached out to Adam to see about another collaboration to design a matching HVAC panel and fan for the gauges. Managed to get to design-lock ahead of the Sharksgiving crush so one of Rev’s delightful looking packages arrived not long after. Since Mrs. Claus was struggling with ideas for what might fill my stocking they went straight to her. The joy of course was in seeing them for the first time and having the time to install them.

Cleaned up the HVAC panel and took off the blue BEFORE re-reading Adam’s how-to write up to see that I actually should have left it.

It used Adam’s take on the vent direction but picked up the hash marks from my Speedmaster as well as the font for Cool/ Warm. I took more time heating up the tape with a hairdryer and clamping down the faceplate to ensure a tight fit.

The fan numbers match the tach, the Off font and again used the same hash marks. With the bulb replaced and everything put back in, the color finally matched.

Still don’t think there’s another business out there that does such exceptional work and with customer service that’s possibly even better. A little worried that with his new addition to the fleet and new products, that may make a 30 AE even harder to resist this year.

Nico (IG: nico.mx5) was recently *convinced* to come to KINOD and has attended the last few meets. He's been having fun sharing some festive cheer with his NB and has some photography skills to boot. He took a couple pics at the last meet of the year on Friday and said he was happy for me to share them so here's our two cars hard parked together. It's been another fantastic year of KINOD -still love this crazy little Roadster tribe of ours so much. Looking forward to 2019 and the 30th!

The interior pic is amazing. Don't get me wrong, Benny looks fantastic brom every single angle, but the interior...I am lost for words, especially after the latest updates. Also, the amount of personalization and customization you can do to these little cars is stunning; so much that I can think of at least a handful of different builds I would do, even before starting considering NCs and NDs. Hats off Peter!
