Thanks Chad and Paul! Projekt-mx5.de wanted to add Benny to their page along with Warbird and others so was a good opportunity to catalog what I've done. I'm glad I've got the BRG to turn some attention to as the list on Benny is finally getting pretty short (have said that before ;). Still planning to finally get the wiper fluid tank relocation and side winkers done before I'm back at work but lucky to be off until the 7th. I'm still looking for a GV Type II hood and have a plan for something different out back but need a replacement Mariner trunk lid first. Beyond that there's lots of mechanical work that I should be taking care of... finally getting around to installing my GarageStar frame rails, brake upgrade, replace the original bushings, Torsen rear diff and probably lots of other things I'm not thinking about right now. Oh, and Paco side braces from what I"m hearing ;). Any and all ideas welcomed!

A local friend Kevin (@_spirit_road_ on IG) organized a spontaneous end of year cruise from Redondo beach up to Malibu. Showed up just after 7:30am on the 31st to meet up before the drive. Fantastic way to close out 2018 rolling seven deep along the 1...

I'm not a big one for New Year's resolutions but I think 2019 needs to have more of a focus on organized drives with other Miati.. such a blast to roll out as a convoy and explore the great roads and beautiful sights we're spoiled to enjoy year around...

Since Nico joined there are also a few fantastic pictures reposted with his permission...

    Now on to 2019!

First project of 2019 got wrapped up last night. I ordered the Zoom side winkers with the rest of my order from Yoshida-san and thanks to Adam’s exceptional write-up (https://www.revlimiter.net/mods/sidewinker.php) I had everything I’d need to get on with it. Have to admit my confidence levels weren’t the highest which is why I’ve been procrastinating for so long. I knew cutting into the body panels wasn’t going to be fun but was even more concerned about the electrical work. I’ve never done anything with wires and think an incident I’d had with an outlet when I was an infant led to a lifelong distrust of electricity. Haha

Jacked the car up to have better access behind the wheel and got to taping…

Pilot hole drilled and then straight to the hole cutter. It is true, the sounds are not pleasant sounds. In fact pretty awful but thankfully didn’t take very long. No turning back at this stage…

After struggling to tap the wire into the turn signals on the driver’s side given the lack of space started the passenger side with the wheels off. MUCH easier…

Subtle but love the improvement and expect there’s a safety advantage to boot.

And yes, the hole is precisely 3.5” above the swage line and 4 5/8”s in from the fender edge. Measure atleast three times before you cut ;)

The side markers for me are one of my favorite parts about the Eunos.

The Zoom units look the part, really want a set at some point. Did you get an LED version?

Stayed with the incandescent. Prefer the warmer old school glow (:

I didn't realize they were available with an incandescent bulb anymore!? Or did you manage to find some older ones, Pete? If there's a link or part number, please share!

This is one of my favorite Eunos differences, too.

Still in production, it’s the one at the top. If you click English it will take you through to their Rakuten site which works really well.

The Zoom Engineering side markers look right at home on Benny!! I don't think Zoom Engineering makes a single part that I don't like...

Love the side markers on these cars. I never even wired mine in but they're so pretty. Miatas without them look boring to me now
