I also added a rear brace that is supposed to box the rear frame. Does not seem to make a difference to me, but added a few pounds to the roadster.
(2nd pic obviously not my miata. My new exhaust and muffler are polished and all you saw was my orange shirt and ashy elbow in the pic which drew all attention away from the brace installed.

I am also thinking of playing around with the door pulls on the doors (again) lol
Something using the 1028 door pulls this time, not porsche.

On the rear "tow hook" brace....you may not feel the difference but based on the video Ken Auto did using the string to show the flex...I am sure it made a difference. Of course I am a chassis brace nut.

Man, it has been sometime since I have posted.
Being someone who works in the Health Care Field has sadly been a full plate of bedlam with a side order of stress for most of 2020 and some of 2021...

Last April oldgrayleather won a set of Body Shop Hayashi headlights.
His win got me motivated, so I made my way into my storage. l too had picked up a set of those headlights, but I had just simply squirreled them away. Since Peter’s auction win, l started methodically going through the process of refreshing my set whenever l had some spare time, while also sharing what knowledge I could with Peter to give him an idea what to expect when he gets to installing his. I was finally at the point where they could have been installed in the end of 2020. BUT l decided to wait until 2021 to try to start this year a wee bit better than most of 2020 actually was.

I had given her a bath before going out to take some pictures earlier tonight, but the roadster was immediately tinted by the overwhelming pollen here. So the pictures are just so-so.

They really do transform the NA’s appearance. Family has given thumbs up to them liking how they look and especially how they operate. A giggle followed by ‘cool’ was the consensus when they popped up.

This post makes me so incredibly happy! And motivated!! I can’t thank you enough for all the tips and info and pictures and, and, and...

You did an exceptional job of bringing your set back to life. Love seeing a quirky part of the roadster’s early tuning history be restored and so very well preserved! Congrats again!!

Here’s to a much better 2021 and thanks for being a front line worker. Can’t imagine a harder or more stressful job over the last year.

I've never seen these before, I like them but question...do they have better light throw/pattern when popped up or?

Thank you to all health care workers, epidemiologists, public health officials, first responders and the many scientists and volunteers that have cared for the sick and dying, contributed to our understanding of Covid-19, and to the development and availability of a vaccine. And also to all the front line workers who sacrificed to help us get through these tough times. We are eternally grateful for your service to others.

The problem with most low profile headlamps is the front bumper cuts off the beam pattern, creating a big shadow directly in front of you. So most low profile lamps are a compromise for looks and provide bare minimum performance. The Jet Stream headlamps solve this problem with a deeper headlamp bucket that cuts into the front bumper. The Body Shop Hyashi lights solve this problem by raising them up above the bumper.

Kyle has is right. I have not had a chance to drive at night yet, but I will post when I have done so. I upgraded the bulbs so I am wanting to see how they work.

Peter and Druz, let me know anything that I can do.

The Hayashis are amazing; they look cool when down, but I really appreciate the thought/engineering behind their pop up function, which contributes in their coolness IMO.

And thanks for your service; having family members and close friends working in the health sector I know first hand how stressful this last year has been. Stay safe!

I’ve been getting sneak peeks of these for a while, very happy to finally see them installed. Now I need to get off my bum and start working on my miata again. Thank you for the motivation, I think ? Hahaha
