My track car has a Racing Beat header, cat delete pipe and a Bosal Spec Miata exhaust. It isn't exactly a quiet combination. Even though I'm probably under my local track sound level, I wanted to remove some of the higher rev rasp.

I found the Genssi exhaust tips on both Amazon and Ebay and decided to take a chance. I opted for the oval tip based on previous experience with oval tips on my Trans Am deepening the exhaust tone a bit. The quality of the tip looks top notch. The tips are advertised as stainless but I opted for the black powdercoated tip. Beware if you are clamping them down that you can scratch the powder coat.

I tested the sound with the car in the trailer and the back door open. This should be a bit louder in the car than out in the open. The Genssi tip deepened the tone slightly and seems to have removed the higher rpm raspy sound. Overall, I'm pleased with the sound control.
