I'll give away one of my secrets - I JB Welded the inside of my torx bits that hold the Beatrush receivers to my HT.

Yes, JB weld. The fasteners are, for all intents and purposes, permanently attached. I could still take a demel and slot them for removal if I really needed, but that would take some time and be really noisy.

Yup. You can get a security torx bit set at Harbor Freight for $3.99. That's not any sort of security at all...

Are these the same ones that have the hollow Allen wrench and the fastener has a raised spot in the center??

It's a torx (star drive) with a raised dot in the center. Same idea as a hex security bolt.

In that case Epoxy is probably the best answer

Like was mentioned before. With hardtop security it is levels. Permanent brackets, the normal security devices avalible (torx-tamper, Rev's stud nut...) and the one you shop for yourself that is not on these forums and had pics of. You have to be inventive to stay ahead.

Just don't post all your stuff. We like our stuff. Just keep a few bits to yourself.

To revive an aging thread with an idea we all should have had...

The best thwart is to make them think. If they cannot see what attaches your top...

Velcro and a swatch of fabric that covers your attachment device of choice will have them guessing if this is an easy pick or a jail sentence try.

With my multiple safety steps I am making this next.

The problem is that most thieves already know the mounting points of the hardtop. You really can't change it.

Think Rick refers to the hardware securing the HT and not the actual location of the mounting points themselves

But if the thief knows where these locations are, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the fabric covering the attachment point?

Hmm...they will not know if there are OEM latches or aftermarket mounts, if they can just unlatch it or of they will need a socket tool or a special tool to remove bolts etc., and this might turn them off I guess..or not.
