Has been discussed at length in Pricing & Dealer Discussion on another forum. It was auctioned off by the original owners recently... I'm assuming this dealer is the winning bidder.

24k seems fair for the miles.

I won't be worthy of this collector edition as I will be swapping suspension parts as soon as I get hold of it

I would be so afraid to drive it. I hope it ends up somewhere it will be respected for a long time.

Everyone loves clean cars, but I think there is a sweet spot when it comes to what is the most fun to own. You could have this and feel bad about driving it or making any mods, or you could have a car like mine that has been crashed and molested to the point that any mod is an nightmare, constantly patching up janky-ass work from a bad mechanic or previous owner.

The sweet spot is a car that's worn, but well taken care of.

Miata.net It's o.k., we don't throw flags around here for mentioning other forums!

I'm surprised it didn't find a buyer, not a flipper @ $24K. Shoot, even Sunkist was recently bought, and this Marina Green, though not as historical as a "color car", is still brand new almost 20 years later!

Nice, but boring. Put it in a museum so it can be forgot about already.

That's them, not us. We don't need to avoid naming our competitors, as we are BETTER!

24K is too much, a mint Firehawk went for 16K at Mecum. This is a case of someone having more money than common sense.

Miata ownership is dictated most commonly by desire IMHO not much by common sense lol. If a similar 1993 Miata LE will be up for sale? I probably borrow a chunk from my retirement since I still have ways to go and buy it for 24k.
Some people who wanted a 97 Miata so bad back then that did not have the finances and do now are likelihood your so called no common sense buyers lol. But then again I can sometimes be stupid that way like my hunt and acquisition of hard to find Miata parts

    ^^^ THIS

In 1993 I was drooling over the 93LE but they all sold out fast and me being so young back then fresh outta the military and no credit record I could only afford a used 92SE in 1994 with 16K miles. I think it was like $15,000 back then and I paid half down and financed the rest.
