This brings us to last month. I was able to set up the car in time for HPDE with NASA at CMP.

Ride height needed to be readjusted after the spring change, and I landed on the following specs:
    F: ~4.125"
    R: ~4.25"

Alignment remained very similar to what I had before. I do need extended ball joints though.

    Front Camber: -2.5
    Front Caster: 3.8
    Front Toe: 0

    Rear Camber: -2.5
    Rear Toe: 0.2

I didn't have a seat yet, so I managed to borrow a Sparco Sprint from a friend.

After I backed out of the previous bucket seat arrangement, I managed to get a pair of Recaro Profi SPGs from a guy I met at CMP.

No complaints about condition considering they're 20 years old. They feel amazing to sit in. When the time comes, they'll be replaced with new SPGs.

Installation was simple enough with Garage Star rails, and I sit much lower compared to OEM and Sparco (which is similar to OEM height on the same rails). I pass the broomstick test by a good bit. However, the shoulder bolsters press into the door top by like 1/4". That's not an issue for me, but the fitment could be solved by not using the delrin spacers that GS rails use and raising the seat higher to have the rail clear the belt hole grommets on the side, or just raising the seat way higher which isn't an option. You could also bash the trans tunnel near the rear mounting point, but the lap belt attaches there, and clearance to the rail is already pretty small.

    Installed photos soon.

Oh - and current state of the interior (sans Recaros)

The radio was replaced with an OEM blanking plate and cubby. As far as I can tell, these are the parts that were used in the M2-1028 originally. Window switches were migrated to the new blanking plate, which needed reinforcements from the back to stop flexing (attaches with only one screw on both sides).

    Blank Plate: LA02-55-235 / LA0255235
    Cubby: FC02-55-235A / FC0255235A

Fantastic updates! The details in these types of posts is what I absolutely love about the forums. Great reminder too to get my a$$ in gear and stop making excuses for being quiet for so long. Your car looks like it corners very flat now too with the higher rate springs! Wish you'd shared a lap that showed you passing all the competition ;)

I REALLY wish I'd known you were looking for a new home for your masterfully restored tan dash, would have saved me the countless hours I've been putting off to get the BRG back up to OEM+ spec! Now your second dash restore has inspired me a little bit more to stop being lazy...

Not as interesting as you'd think to watch point-by passing on video haha.

I'm...pretty sure you knew! Anyway, shipping a dash would not have been fun.

    Absolutely amazing job!

BTW I am thinking about going back out west sometime soon as well. Us East Coasters should plan a little trip.

    100%

Man I nearly forgot -- thank you for pointing me in the right direction with Ultrasuede, and saving me from using some suede alternative knock-off.
