I too am looking forward to the finished dash. Your documentation will be another resource for whenever I get around to doing the 1.6 dash swap.

Also, envious of your Pole Position key.

Began stockpiling parts last week. Hopefully I will have time to install this lot in the next month or so, although the eccentric bolts might have to wait.

    - Mazda Comp differential mounts
    - Mazda Comp motor mounts
    - New eccentric bolts

    Nope.

K-1 Racing (?) exhaust that was imported from Japan (possibly via Rod @ Tetsyua Garage), then found a home with SFLMiata, then came to me. He was nice enough to throw in a Top Speed resonator in the sale. The exhaust isn't perfect, and needs some cleaning up, but that'll get done in the next couple of days. This seems to be a pretty rare exhaust, and I had trouble even finding any sound clips of it. I'll get some up after the installation.

Also, if anyone has any additional information about this exhaust or manufacturer, I would appreciate you sharing!

Polished the exhaust a bit with Mothers MAG Polish, but not to an extent worth taking photos of. The tip and muffler polished up just fine, but the rest are going to need some sanding and more polishing to look shiny.

Really liking this exhaust so far; reasonably quiet if you're cruising at <3,500rpm and very little drone at all driving highway speeds. Completely different when at full throttle though.

Anyways, I was able to install it Friday night, but struggled to get any proper sound clips. My Nikon D5100's build-in mic doesn't do the job well enough, and the sound came out flat. The iPhone definitely did a much better job, surprisingly. Audio has been edited for noise reduction.

Dash is nearing completion. Painted the crash pads and glued down with silicone. Working on the mesh defrost vents right now, and will have to clean up the dash frame. Other than that, I'm having some trouble fitting the side defrost vents, may have to cut and trim to fit.

Also, new tires. Really bummed out that Dunlop don't make the Star Specs in 195/60r14 anymore, only 185/60r14 is available. Went for the new 195/60r14 Falken Azenis RT615K+. I've worn well through the tread on one of my current Star Specs, but I have a ton of suspension parts to install and don't want to get multiple alignments, so these will go on after the suspension parts are on.

I debated for a long time between the Dunlops and the Falkens... those were a phenomenal deal with the current rebate. I ended up going with the 185 Direzzas, myself. I wish you were nearby for a comparison. They're the only two performance tires left in a 14!

That dash looks amazing. I wish I had time to do the same with my BRG prior to selling. Fortunately, I can still learn a lot for when I install my '92 black dash into my '94!

I prefer a fatter tire, so I chose to go with the only 195 summer tire available. Also, $260 after rebate for a full set? Yes please. Will let you know how they compare to Star Specs.

The exhaust notes lured me. The BRP tag! Bro. where are you at for some mild runs on BRP and spirited ones on those marked "Not for trucks"? PM me fellow nut!
