"Dash" 1992 Eunos Roadster - Mariner Blue

Firstly i hope this is the right place to introduce "Rainbow Dash" "Dash" for short, Dash is my 1992 Eunos Roadster which was imported into the UK in 1998 making her one of the 1st grey market imports which started to flood the UK via Ireland in the late 1990's and has continued as all the UK stock has rusted to bits lol

I imported Dash, she came as a fairly unmodified machine with the exception of an HKS Super Dragger and Tokico Suspension, at this time the JDM didn't really exist and so I had no idea that the exhaust was rare haha.

In 2000 my employer encouraged me to sell my car as they deemed it not professional enough an image and so I sold it as a part exchange for a Mercedes C36AMG ( Lovely Car that, total sleeper, Looked like a taxi but went like Sh1t of the proverbial shovel )

In October of 2016 one Sunday Morning I spotted an advert for a slightly battered barn find Eunos in Mariner Blue and it looked strangely familiar, long story short the chap I sold it to stuck it in a barn and it turned out it hadn't turned a wheel since I had sold the car back in 2000, Yes this was my old Eunos Roadster. Needless to say I bought her straight away and drove her back home a 200 mile drive with a car that hadn't been serviced for 16 years haha.

    And so the story begins...

Here she is now and I will fill you in on the journey from the basic roadster to the current day given time. Hope you enjoy.

Dam that's a cool story and your Eunos looks great! I imported my Eunos into the USA 3 months ago and I love it so much!

They are amazingly capable cars and of course that fact that basically now every single is different is what makes them interesting, I love how they express the personality of the owner if that makes sense.

Dam Dash looks nice and stock. Here is my Eunos. I would like to get a second Eunos but this one be super stock and a BRG or J-limited.

    Your Eunos looks awesome

A J Limited is lovely but the rare one is the J2 Limited that is the one to get as it has the better engine, Diff etc.. Do like a yellow Eunos for sure or the California as it was know in the UK, Slightly different colour of Yellow but yep they look awesome.

Thanks!! You should check out my build thread its a pretty special Eunos. And yes the J2 is awesome but in America we have to wait until the car is 25 years old so we have to wait to get the cooler models.

Tanya, so thrilled that you’ve started a thread here. Proof of what forums can offer that IG and other social media can’t. I’ve followed your car for ages (still loving the recently added GV bonnet!!) but had no idea you owned the car originally back in 1998. Such a great story to know you found it again!! Looking forward to this.

Mariners seem to have a way of doing that.

I sold mine, bought it back later.

Thanks I have been wanting this for some time, I looked at the options and my dream Miata is the Fabled M2-1006 of which 2 were built but the project died, 3.0 V6 with the RX7 rear end and a wider track.. Anyway I have the Garage Vary recreation of the hood as you can see in the above picture and I also have to matching trunk lid. Lot's of pics to follow in the coming days

I previously had a 1991 Eunos in Red but when my Mariner popped up on the market there could only be one choice
