Third gear shift attempts missed?
It's usually worn out rubber mounts allowing the engine to lean over too far, twisting the trans. We also often see customers having troubles with exhaust system installs not lining up because they didn't realize a failed engine mount was actually crumbling and dropping their entire engine off to one side, taking the entire exhaust system with it.
