That's my general approach as well, and I tend to do it with any shop. Being OCD does not help me as well.

My problem is that I don't trust shop work but I don't trust my own work, either. Kind of sucks and starts a downward spiral that normally leads to the car sitting for months.

Solved the problem with the hood needing to be slammed--I think. Cut a little bit off the two rubber bumpers on either side of the latch.

Ordered some odds and ends (fender fastners, new OEM NB2 splash shields, and a portable jump starter pack). Really wanting to order a steering wheel spacer, but it looks like Supermiata is OOS and has been for almost a year. Any thoughts on the Spacershop piece? Looks a lot like the Supermiata one, but has to come from across the pond.

I think so. I forgot that the design originally came from Italy. I've reached out to them to see if they have any in stock.

Got in contact with Supermiata, who told me the spacers would be back in stock on the site today.
