I plan to. Problem is I have too much else in life going on. Since the other car can't fit in the Miata's spot anyway, I'm in no rush right now.

You named it the Tick, it had to bite another miata eventually.

    Glad everyone is okay.

Technically, it's always The Tick. The article is always used (much like you should always refer to Columbus, Ohio's largest university as "The Ohio State University" or Strong Bad's little yellow sidekick was always referred to as "The Cheat").

The Tick is named as such because his color is similar to the suit of one of my favorite comic book characters growing up:

Got the bumper cap and passenger fender off...

Nose of the fender got tweaked hard.

Now that the fender is off, more shots of the headlight mount:

Compare to a close-up of the passenger's side:

I think the driver's side inner tie rod might actually be straight:

Keep the faith Bryan - so glad you're going to see this through! I went through emotional hell when I'd been told mine would likely be written off but we saw it through and I couldn't be happier! To me it's like that scar I got at 9 years old when I ran through a glass door when my older brothers were chasing me with squirt guns in the house and mom was yelling at us all. Adds characters and will always have the memories...

Does not half as bad as I thought it would! Do you have any means of verifying straightness of the critical components (pick ups and suspension parts)? I believe the factory service manual has measurements on it.

    Honestly, I don't.

Here's a link to the factory service manuals.

I believe it has some critical measurements under "body" or "chassis" or "suspension", do not remember very clearly. Might be of help.

For the record, I'm a UC Bearcat (Class of '03), but as an Ohioan, I have to say...

    ..."Commie."

No joke: my Social Studies teacher (a HUUUUUUUUGE OSU fan) multiple times referred to the University of Michigan as--and I quote--"a Communist plot to take over the world".

Well, Michigan did just beat UC (that game was WWWAAAYYY closer than it should have been!)

That is pretty funny! The hate is strong between those two schools!

Don't I know it. I'm a lifelong Ohioan (grew up in Canton, and OSU love/UM hate is VERY strong)...you can't really be neutral on it.

I was born and raised in Michigan about 20 minutes outside of Ann Arbor, so the UM love is strong with me! Made it to one UM/OSU game in 1997 the year Michigan won the National Championship. Too bad I was only 4 years old at the time, so I barely remember it!
