Like I said, small and low quality. I just don't trust the FRP to not break or have the threads get ripped out in an accident that would put excessive stress on the mounting points of the seat belt and it's receiver.

I got as far as making a template to make my own brackets before making the realization it probably wasn't the safest option.

Check your transmission tunnel, there should still be threaded holes for the OEM seat belt receivers, you just need to use the older NA6 receivers like i did on my 96 Miata

There is a hole where NA6 receivers would be bolted in an NA6 car, but in my '97, they're just holes with rubber plugs, no threads. Had to use the stock receiver anchor points. Which are further back on the trans tunnel than the NA6 anchor points.

This pic shows their location with the NA6 receivers installed.

so jealous. still chasing a dream

I forgot I had the opportunity to seat on these in Pete's car last MRLS.... so regret it that I didn't.
MIATA...incredibly fun to drive - as that is its only purpose for being.

Dang - and I forgot to push it. I'm positive you would fit but always worth a session in seat to see how you like the position, et al.

AMAZING review Jamie!! I've been dying for some coverage on these seats, currently trying to weigh up whether or not to bite the bullet myself, it's a lot of money to part with for a seat you'll never sit in beforehand. My main struggle is whether to go with black or tan with a red NA that interior is simply amazing too, it looks like a premium OEM interior.

On an unrelated topic, I think I'm one of the few who prefers the later year dashboards than the earlier models. They're all the same in the U.K. And Japan, no choice or refined rounded dash with an airbag

But back to seats; I considered the carmakecorns seats at one stage, but they're not much cheaper and racing seats don't do it for me, the Nakamae's are literally the only high quality Classic buckets made as an option...

Phat, you'll never sell the Nakamae seats, they're waayyyy too pretty
You want a good car. I want a good miata.

Just the driver's seat in red in an otherwise black interior (nicely trimmed of course) would be tits for such a theme.

Some fellows over on M.net asked about ingress & egress. I will provide the pics and videos I supplied there, here as well.

Pics and videos of myself sitting in and getting in & out of the seats.

    Seat belt buckled, empty:

    Seat belt buckled, occupied:

    Ingress & egress w/ Nakamae Type R seats 1:

Getting in, putting seat belt on, removing, and then getting out.

    Ingress & egress w/ Nakamae Type R seats 2:

Getting in & out, changing door position and again getting in & out.

    Ingress & egress w/ Nakamae Type R seats 3:

Getting in & out with door in barely open position (as if parked closely to another vehicle).

Hope that answers any questions about the difficulty of ingress & egress.

We do. An empty bank account can be our sigil, however we can get a symbol for that we can make a run of keychains

I didn't buy Tan ones though
