Exclamation 2018 Recent Hot Wheels/MatchBox & Other Diecast Cars

I'm in Thailand at the moment and noticed a few sets we do not have in Europe, so I will be buying some. Anything special I should be looking for? Also anyone looking for something particular?

Wow, 4 full sets of JH2s on the pegs at my local WM.

Well, almost 4 sets, minus 1 Skyline 210 for myself to complete my own set.

Also, after the initial sticker shock, I'm OK with the price increase on the Car Culture line. They keep up the level of detail of the JH2s, worth every penny of the $5.50

    My recent finds.

A friend is trimming down, now only keeping it to Supras and Then & Nows, got these from him.

    Some mainlines.

    Matchbox 100 Years Chevy Trucks.

Matchbox Globe Travelers. Didn't think I'd find the GT40, so it was hard to pass on the two I found.

And, best for last, Japan Historics 2. This is my 'to open' set.

I have 1 more set of the JH2s. I hope I can keep getting 2 sets of each Car Culture release. I want to eventually make a board to hang them all up as one big display. Been saving the cards from the sets I opened too, wanna make a display from those as well.

Haven't seen those 100 years matchbox Chevy Trucks at the stores here as yet or they sold out and I never knew it. Also anyone know where I can find one of the 1:18 or 1:24 diecast NA miatas by Gate or Motor Max without paying an arm and a leg for it ( non-eBay), looking for a friend, he'd like the blue one or a green. Have another friend looking for a Hot Wheels or Matchbox NC for his grandson, but I told him I didn't think one was ever made, am I wrong? Thx

Look what I found. The Red Gate Roadster a friend found at a local flea market and gave me, when I went there the next day I found the Green one, then later that day I made a stop at Wallyworld and a small Hobby store and bought the other Miatas. And had I just ordered 4 of the gray Matchbox cars on ebay.

Thanks- These were insanely cheap, the seller had no idea what they were, it was setting beside a plastic 1/18 Corvette so he had priced them the same.

To say I'm not pleased about this is putting it mildly. Don't get me wrong, I love the Car Culture series, but....

Not really a fan of the extra paywall for Hot Wheels exclusives. Never mind the whole member limit dealio.

So now I either pony up who knows how much money to a scalper in an attempt to get 2 of those sets or just give up now.

OK who's heading to Toys R Us, TV news says they are closing all U.S. stores soon, will there be "going out of business" sales?

Check The Wall Street Journal on Monday. They could be liquidating all stores by next week.

Sad but ironic, died of a broken heart? Now future generations of kids won’t know what it was like running through a massive toy store.
