    Coupe hardtop

You probably know about the very small run of coupes Mazda made of the Eunos roadster. For those who didn't here a picture of one of such beauties.

Two years ago one of my Dutch friends told me he used to own one of these NB coupes, but before he sold it, he made sure he had taken moulds of the roof of this car. Two years later, and he showed me pictures of his work on a hardtop based on the original Mazda design. I thought it would be nice to share this with you. Wonder what you think about it.

Thinking that I'd buy one if I were staying in the NB game.

That looks cool! Love the OEM coupe lines. Any idea on latching mechanism, eta and pricing?

That kit looks incredibly accurate to what Mazda made, most aftermarket "solutions" tend to be way off, this looks by far the best. This one is probably the best I've seen to date, a link to his build thread is in the description on YT. Most have probably seen it, but for those who haven't it's one of the most awe-inspiring builds I've seen.

Throwback to a previous thread now (probably) It depresses me to see such a rare car be such a modified example, I wouldn't pick these mods either:

Something else for viewing pleasure, good walkaround video and pictures."I'll just trade my rare as hell NB Coupe MX5 to the nearest used car lot", like you do...

I apologise for being a video whore today

Not yet, he was mentioning a price comparable to the autokonexion version. This is his second version, he is working on the glass, but said that the real glass option made the product a lot more expensive. When I visit him I can tell more about latches and stuff.

The owner of the turbo fastback above also mentions how expensive the glass for the rear window got. It's most likely why there aren't any cheap or common fastback options on the market, supply and demand is too low to get everything at a good (cheap) rate.

Was wondering...if it is exactly the same as the OEM one, I guess that OEM glass could be used. Not sure though if OEM replacement glass for NB coupes is a thing.

Another option would be making a design that utilizes an existing car's rear glass. FD RX7 is the first that comes to mind. Thinking of it, the NA M Coupe looks a LOT like an RX7
