    at first the plan was Soul red, but with a chance of cracking paint on the fenders, we've found a wrap (just in case) and the color that matched was a Fiat/Abarth color.

    Looking good - are you planning on redoing the leather on the centre console or replacing it completely? If th later and you no longer need it I would interested in it

    Well after this, the speed of the build will go down a notch. The plan is to put a rocketeer v6 in it. But need to save again. Now we are trying to get it presentable for a big mx5 meeting.

    The pace of the build is astonishing, and the car already looks amazing. I do not mean to sound rude, just genuine curiosity; what got you set on the Rocketeer conversion? It seems expensive, heavy, and low on power compared to what's on the market.

    Expensive, yup. So I’m interested in alternatives. Don’t want to go force induction. Don’t want to go V8, because I feel it’s not in character with a 5. About the weight, afaik it’s lighter than the OEM 1.8.
