    Jass flip oil filler cap

Curious if anyone has seen one of these or something similar in the wild. Thoughts? Opinions?

I have a couple of these caps, but the original (Millen, I believe) ones. The Jass one looks like a good copy. If you like it, go and buy it. It's only $125 USD and is far less expensive than the originals which had a very limited production run.

Not that it probably matters, but how do you find them to use?

I had Simpson Design and loved it! A well built piece and matched the Zoom Engineering fuel lid!

    That's it - Simpson Design!

It's got a spring loaded latch mechanism that you squeeze with your fingers to release the hinged cap. The cap flips open and out of the way. Its a pain to open if the engine is hot and you have no gloves, but otherwise, it's a very nice piece of kit.

I have one on my car. Well built but it won't line up straight unless you 'shim' the rubber gasket. This could bother some people more than others

47,000 kms or 29,000 miles, and it's usually in the garage under a car cover. Sadly.

I want one, but the not lining up thing would bug the crap out of me. Looks polished. I thought they were chromed. Why didn't they chrome it. Chrome is so much easier to clean!

LOL, the first thing I thought when I saw that was, "cool, but it needs to be clocked correctly."
