    2002 Special Edition wheels

I have a set of four 2002 SE wheels sitting in my garage. They are made by Enkei and were exclusive to that year and only for the special edition models. They are probably my favorite design ever to come on a Miata but I may be biased given I had a ‘02 Blazing Yellow SE.

They are in excellent condition insofar as lack of bends, cracks, curb rash or other damage however, they definitely need to be refinished with new paint.

I’m trying to decide whether to stick them up in the attic or sell them. If I decide to sell them, what do you think I could get for them?

Dam these are in great shape. I would start at $600 shipped or $500 local price.

16”x7.5” I believe. Designed to clear Mazda’s new “big brakes” of the time.

Most NA guys wont run a size that big, so that means just NB and ND owners. I would say $500 to $700 range depending on condition and rarity. Stock wheels never seem to fetch much IMHO

I don’t think they’re super rare but they’re not common either. They’re somewhat like the BBS wheels that come on yours for one year only. Since they have to be painted anyway, they’d look great in anything from white to bronze or even that deep, pearly silver like on the Mazda 6.

These are my favorite OEM wheels Mazda put on the NB. They are generally considered “rare” or at least unusual, even here (Greece).

Why store them if you do not intend to use them? Paint them, get some new shoes on there and run them, or sell them and move on.

That said, they are very nice looking OEM wheels! I had the crappy looking 2003 SE [Special] wheels on mine, kept telling myself, [They're special, leave them on]...boy am I happy I found other wheels on CL.
