I saw it there too and really liked the color, but not worth a premium.

Sonny and I picked our 30AE's last week. Chance Asue at Tustin Mazda took care of us. I have to say, I think Sonny's RF is that extra bit sexier than my ST.
Neither will be significantly modded. Both of us have many experience with trying to make a comfy street car also work on track like a race car. We always end up with something that does neither well. Besides, we have a min-fleet of race cars and fast HPDE cars here to drive. So yeah, these are both destined for daily life.
Trying to talk Sonny into some Eibach springs that will drop it about .8". I plan to install the original Xida ACE protos with an updated harness for the new touchscreen controller. Sonny maybe 17x8 6UL's. I plan to run 245/40 Conti ECS on 17x9 Charcoal 6UL. OFT reflash for mine as soon as Shiv has the ND2 tune finalized. Mine will stay otherwise stock. Oh yeah, Sonny doing some clear bra with his room mate that knows how to lay vinyl. I'm going big with full ceramic pro, clear bra but doing full paint correction (wet sand, etc) first.

Driving both, ST definitely has more jiggle than the RF. Club Bilsteins have too much high speed compression, or maybe it's too little N2O volume. RF jiggles less or rough pavement with top down. RF top up feels pretty much like a coupe, super solid and jiggle all but disappears.

Mine. Didn't let dealer wash it or attach front plate.

Smart move on the not modifying much. I wouldn't have either, if I were in your shoes as you said plenty others to pick from why mess with these. I do have to ask though, why wouldn't you let the dealer wash the car? Just curious.

Did not want them to scratch the paint. The porters are not exactly detailers.

It’s lovely. I do hope a removable hardtop is available for this model at some point.

Got them both together for a few pics at Aerowerkz. Picking my soft top after paint correction, Ceramic Pro and clear bra plus some selected black vinyl graphics treatments. See if you can spot them.
Sonny's RF get much the same.

Installed Xida ACE with 300/150 rates, roughly 50% higher spring rate than OEM. Lowered 30mm. OEM sways and everything else. No plans to track or even autocross it. It is such a sublime daily driver. Had it for about a month now, top has not been up once

17x9 6UL Charcoal, 245/40 Conti ECS. Going to try a Racing Beat muffler. OEM is actually too quiet. I don't want loud but would at least like to hear exhaust over wind noise at WOT.
OFT reflash once motor is broken in. Add Paco seat lowering brackets and our steering spacer. Will add a carbon rear spoiler proto we made few years back along with a Vary front lip. That's pretty much it.

Couple of pictures of 173/6000 and a list of current modifications.IMG_0868.jpgIMG_0937.jpg

This is the list of the mods to my 30AE. My '16 Club has most of the same mods except it has a BBR Turbo. Other than a turbo for the 30AE both cars are just about perfect for my needs.

    Done:
    RoadsterSport Race axle back exhaust
    Weathertech floor mats
    Stubby antenna
FM Stage 2 Koni suspension including sway bars
Clear bra full bumper, hood, fenders, rocker panels, windshield surrounds
    Tossed the sound tube
    Install Hood struts
    Install Club type splitter
    Install louder horns
    Hard wire Escort radar detector
    Alignment
30AE plaque for passenger air bag light panel
New bronze wheels and tires and put borrowed bronze wheels back on the Club
    Orange windshield surrounds
    Infotainment center sun visor
    Black nose badge
    Smoked side repeaters
    Sequential rear turn signals

    To do:

BBR turbo whenever they get the new version out
    2021 Corvette C8, 3LT, HFC, Z51 Rapid Blue
    2021 Honda Accord Sport
    2019 Miata 30AE
