Review: Nakamae Japan Door Handle and lock buttons NA Miata

Review: Nakamae Japan Door Handle and lock buttons NA Miata

These were offered by Nakamae in very "limited runs" every few years from the late 1990's to early 2000, I have checked with many sources, and these parts have been out of production for more than 10+ years.

I wanted to show guys some of the older parts I have like these for identification purposes in the future, hope this review helps out.

Nakamae units came pre assembled, just remove your plastic parts and put this gems in, the Door Handles, or pull levers actually used a machined thread allen screws to mount them, vs the other brands that used rivets or clips.

Here is a close up of the the door handles, as you can see the lock buttons are more flat in design vs KGW, or AeroDramatics. They are very lightweight if you hold them, but very strong and solid aluminum.

I got a used set from Japan back in 2012, but have not seen another set pop up in many years, they are super high quality so Im sure most owners dont want to part with theirs

I have these in my Pitcrew Roadster, a similar (but different) aerodramatics in my silver roadsters and KG works version in my black roadster. I bought mine new from Nakamae about 3 or 4 years ago It is a nice part.
