Center arm pads for oem console

Because I respect your opinions, and I think some of you have well worn shift elbows, I’m looking for suggestions to the cracking center arm pad currently on my na Miata. My current one is a rather generic leather and foam stapled to wood. It’s functional but showing its age. It is also looking clunky as my interior continues to upgrade.

    Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

The I.L. Motorsports armrest pad is nice. I have had one in Betty for 7 years with no signs of wear. I picked up another for my '95 Laguna.

Just a bit of double sided tape is all that's needed to install.

I made my own years ago. It's held up for over a decade.

I considered doing one like you, but after a brief attempt at something similar decided I was going to pass on doing it myself. But, your blog inspired my door panel redo this weekend and I am exceedingly pleased with the results.

Ok, now you're just being mean. ;)

    But, how expensive are they?

While so many are getting rid of their center console for bare carpet, it's surprising to see so many who want to add more girth to their center console. I tend to keep my hands on the steering wheel, so I don't really rest my arms (except maybe at a stoplight).
