    Nova

Well. After a long hiatus, I am back into a Miata. Most of your remember me from my old build, Pandora.

    DDBE768F-11C3-411D-86DF-9015ACC351DD.jpg

Can’t remember why I parted it out and moved on. But just like Thanos, miatas are inevitable. Been thinking about one over the years of being miataless. Had a ND Miata, S550 Mustang GT, a WRX, etc. but nothing has given me the fun factor and joy, and nothing has been able to fill the void in my heart like a NA Miata does. So after some looking around I got the bug and started buying up Miata parts, even before I had anything to put them on. Right now I’ve got a garage full of Miata parts in boxes, as shown here

As you can tell, a bunch of stuff. And I still have a so much more I want to get that’ll take time since everything else I want is several thousands of dollars, as expected.

But anyways. Here is Nova, the white 96. Nothing too special or fancy... yet. But the end result i am wanting to achieve is a bunch of horsepower and a retro theme with a little bit of a modern twist. I guess only time will tell....

That's a nice stash of parts you have there, Chase! Excited to see you start the build! You know you don't have to buy every part you want before starting to install parts.

I know I know. But it’s hard. Haha. I’ve got so much parts now I’m not sure where to start. Bunch of zoom, Carbon Miata, jass, etc parts as well as a brand new hardtop, GV hood, secret unrevealed wheels, NA6 dash that I plan on wrapping in leather, etc. currently waiting to obtain a brand new black carpet kit, FM LBBK(as long as they’ll work with the new wheels), and waiting on a set of door panels to arrive so I can take a bunch of interior pieces including the lotus seats to an upholstery shop to get everything reupholstered. Just soooo much to do. Working a lot so it’s hard to make time for install of parts. But I’ll get to them eventually. Probably going to add to the pile when Black Friday arrives

I had hope, but the restoration project has been going on for a bit and I haven’t seen anything as of yet. Currently have my eyes on a very low mileage 04/05 NB carpet set though that would suffice....

    Welcome back, Chase!

Excited to see where you go.

If you want to see some Miata power options at play, come see us at Atlanta Motorsports Park or Road Atlanta with Jzilla Track Days. A lot of the MX5 ATL guys come out. Very chill events, friendly group. Colin and his J35-swapped car is always there, Rick’s turbo NA, Nick, Stu, etc.

You *just* missed KMiata @ AMP. They had their latest versions there, including K3 engine that uses the stock Miata subframe (200 bhp n/a).

We would love to see you there, even if you just want to hang out.

Seems like everyone is getting their hands on Star sharks these days... they’re definitely not as rare as they used to be, that’s for sure. But regardless figured I’d show what wheels I’ve been wanting forever and have gotten my hands on for Nova. Just patiently waiting to sell my work wheels so I can get these refinished and widened...

Nice! Gorgeous wheels but very glad you are getting them widened as that will make them stand out more and look better, imo, and the route I would go with a multi piece wheel. Current specs and end specs?
