    Seatbelts

I need some new seatbelts for my NA, are the seatbelts universal, or do I need Miata seatbelts only? Thanks

I'm guessing yours are really tired, frayed, sun-damaged, some combination thereof?

I'm pretty confident that they're not a universal item, the length, attachment points, etc. would be vehicle specific.

You could probably source some nice ones from a low-mileage damaged car, or check with a dealer for pricing. But here are some options from a vendor, I bought a UK-spec early belt from them to delete the airbag rip-stop strip. It's worth registering and getting their first-time coupon.

There’s also a difference in seatbelts for cars equipped with airbags and those without.

Dis. And if you have a aftermarket steering wheel with no air bag(which iirc, you do) then you want the seatbelt for the driver side for a non air bag car because it doesn't have the "rip stitching". Also if you have a na6 or na6 dash you would want the seat belt with out said stitching.

Seatbeltplanet.com can redo your OEM ones.
