    the look is great, but is 17" what NC guys are running these days?

    Yeah Randy at least the NC cars that run through our shop run 17s. Many run 17 or 18 x9 - 9.5 and such but have to roll or stretch fenders. Then they start to realize that when they want to sell their Miatas they have a limited market of customers for cars with modified fenders. When you run 17x8 + 47 to 50 no fender mangling or stance camber is required so there are no bridges burned. With a 17x8 you can mount 235/40,17 which is virtually the same rolling diameter as the factory 205/45/17; there is no change in gearing or speedometer.
