    GOODIES!!!

As many of you know, I give away Hot Wheels cars with every order. And I always collect a bunch of the REALLY good ones to send out every Sharksgiving. These are the hard to find cars. The ones that go for $5-20 each on ebay and such. The collector cars.

I have over 500 to give away this year. And about 200 of those are Miatas that I’ve hoarded, traded for, or bought on ebay.

The first Sharksgiving orders will be packed with Miata Hot Wheels. I have ND and NA in the various colors. I’ve got a few Matchbox Miatas as well. And I’ve also got tons of hard to find cars to give away once the Miatas run out.

    and...

    an RX-8.

Yes, an RX-8. I’m asking $900 for it OBO. You’ll need a trailer.

I bought this beauty last summer in non-running condition. I was really hoping that the fix would be easy, so I tried all the tricks. The car has a new ignition system, new starter, new battery, and a few other small bits, but it doesn’t run. This RX-8 needs a new motor.

But that’s it. This car is a beauty. No damage, no rust, and a perfect interior. 6 speed manual. 9k redline… you know, once it has a working Renesis engine installed.

It’s a 2004 with a clean title and about 100k miles (if I remember right). Located in Albuquerque NM. Again, you’ll need a trailer. $900 OBO.

Email adam at revlimiter dot net to claim your RX-8.

This car is offered ONLY on my blog and on MR.net.

Planning on being at the event rain or shine. However, the Miata needs a new APP (gas Pedal) which is on order. The problem remains delivery date of the pedal because of the GM strike. I am on the priority list because the engine VIN list the engine as 2007 Corvette. Most recent upgrade has been an install of electric power steering. DIY and LQK method along with epower steering cost less than $300. It really makes a depowered rack much better.

Are you sure it’s not the throttle position sensor?

The only thing the GM strike should affect is the new, C8 Corvette and other 2020 GM models. Used parts should be in stock since the C6 has been produced since 2005. Have you tried Eckler’s or Cultrag?

I would be swapping gauges every month because they’re all so nice.

The winner of the first random free gauges of Sharksgiving 2019 is Brandon with his set of NA Unity Gauges. Congrats Brandon!!! I just refunded your gauge set.

Who will win tomorrow's gauge drawing? Buy a set and try your luck. One set will be refunded the following morning.

Man, I wish you made these for Vettes. The C6 has such borrrrrrring, plain gauge faces. There are some stick on faces but they’re just a color change, nothing exciting.

Take yours out and send them to him, he makes custom sets for a lot of different models

It's a bit more complicated than that, but... close.

I'd need a cluster to keep. Usually an ebay cluster works well. And then I'd need to receive it and evaluate it for gauge replacement. Some clusters just fall apart when you take them apart or have gauge faces that can't be changed due to their shape.

Take the RX8 for example. I bought the car because it was inexpensive and had a pretty cool looking cluster. I thought it would be fun to make gauges for. But the tach face is a 3D shape that cannot be altered or swapped with a flat gauge. The tach face HAS to be exactly the same 3 dimensional shape. And that's not in my capacity right now.

I did gauges for the Honda Beat, but that cluster fell apart when I tried to remove the gauges. It was horribly rusty and the plastic was extremely brittle. Not a good candidate to have gauges made for. But the customer really wanted them so I did a single set.

The Mazda MX3 gauges cannot have their needles removed without destroying each individual gauge. When the needle comes out the gauge falls apart. I also made gauges for that car... and the customer could never get them installed and have a working gauge at the end.
