1982-1992 RX-7 FC rear diff to 1997 miata NA (of course)

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/174179982497?ul_noapp=true

Here's a link. Not sure if it will work or not. Could someone Please let me know. I don't know what a RX-7 FC is. I know the length is the same, but are the axles or where they fix onto the diff the same?
    Thanks for any help.

The aluminum housing has the same bolt locations with the Miata, so it fits. The snout (the cast steel part) is different. The diff itself is a clutch-style unit and it fits, however Miata axles need some minor modification (do not exactly remember what right now). I am not sure if the FC pinion gear can be used or not (looks longer than the Miata one.

Thanks HarryB! All I want to do is use the housing. I've asked the guy to take off the complete nose and just send me the housing. It will be much lighter and cheaper to ship. Besides I have my own plans for what I want to put into it.

Here's the BIG QUESTION: Is the housing the same where the axles go into it? Of course I don't want to buy something I can't use. I have seen articles on swaps, but they state the RX-7 diff they are using came from a natural aspirated RX-7. This one comes from a RX-7 FC which I think is turbo charged. Did Mazda use different axles on the RX-7 Turbo Cars?

If you know, Please let me know. The seller is kind enough to wait for me and put together a special deal for me.

    THANKS, Chris

PROBLEM SOLVED! The diff that Greg Peters used in his car was in-deed from a RX-7 FC (non-turbo) and the seller told me his diff is from the same. So I'm the proud owner of a RX-7 FC Rear Differential!!! Now for the Maruha Motors 4.6 gears and a OS Giken LSD!!! As well as find the strongest axles.
