modelcar comparison - 1/18 Otto-Kyosho Samurai NA Roadster (includes Gate-Kyosho-IG)

This time a comparison between the latest releases of the NA roadster.
Ottomobile as a french carmodel maker was founded in 2009 and produces resin models in scale 1/18 and 1/12, mainly european cars.
The 1990 Mazda MX-5 was released in September 2019, Nr. OT321, color Silverstone Silver. It´s limited to 999 pieces. The selling price was 59,90 EUR.

Kyosho´s Samurai series was founded in 2015 when the first models were released. The samurai series releases 1/18 and 1/12 japanese resin cars.
The Eunos Roadster with the classic red color was released in December 2018. No.KSR18031R - The selling price was excl. Tax: ¥17,000. The limitation was 700 pieces.

The Otto NA is a european spec, 1.6L, left hand drive car while the Kyosho NA is the Japan domestic market Eunos Roadster 1.6L NA6CE.
Both cars differ in minor details but basically it´s the same model.

Silverstone Silver Otto NA with the Mazda emblem in the front and big license plate

Classic red Kyosho NA with Eunos emblem and dealerplate
The turn signals in front are colored differently although both are the same in real life (EU/JDM).
    The wipers are installed correctly.

Here you can see the rear trim panel for the EU-spec model and the ugly rear fog light in right position. No third brake light in the tailgate.
The antenna is a separate part and has to be plugged in.

There is the right rear trim panel and the emblems are arranged correctly - the black "Roadster" left and "Eunos" right.
Also there is the third brake light. The antenna is already installed.

Here you can see, that the EU-spec NA has the two piece mud flaps while the Eunos hasn´t flaps.
The color of the turn signal is a bit different - more orange for the EU-spec.

The side profile of the two NA. Both have the side indicators in the fenders which is right.
The rear view mirrors are right.
Side reflectors are correctly colored (EU-spec orange front and rear, JDM-spec orange front - red rear)

    The underbody...

Wheels - 14 inch Daisy wheel for both NA.

Door opener as an etched parts for the Otto NA and silver colored for the Kyosho NA.

The chrome rear deck plates as an etched part for the Otto NA and a silver colored smooth surface for the Kyosho...

Both models have the wrong soft top glass window and unfortunately no seat belt replicas.
Also both were fitted with the Momo steering wheel, power windows and no stereo.

Only the "cheap" Otto has carpet inside!

You see the EU-spec NA has a 220 km/h speedometer (redline begins at 6500), while the JDM-spec Eunos has the right 180 km/h speedometer (redline begins at 7250).

Both together and with black Ignition, red Gate, green Kyosho metall (April 1998).

Thank you Yes, the Ignition is very nice. But for the price it should be a good one.
I hope there will be a perfect NA roadster from AUTOart in the future...
