Biggest OEM brakes that fit in 14" "daisies"

Long story short, a friend bought a gem of a BBR Turbo NA. He wants to retain the car in as stock as possible form but the brakes could use an upgrade.

I am quite sure that the NB Sport brakes will not fit under the daisies, so what is the "biggest" setup he can fit in there? My guess would be regular NB/NB2 brakes, but are there any other inputs?

FM's Little Brake kit, but NA8 and NB1 regular brakes are the only stock brakes that will fit.

Maruha I think had a small, multi-piston setup too. I haven't looked it up in a while, though.

Biggest OEM brakes that fit in 14" "daisies"

There are generally more brake compounds for the non-sport 1.8 version, at least here in the US. They were on a lot of different cars here. Given the influence of Spec Miata, I have been able to buy rotors and racing pads at the tracks near me at average prices, in a pinch.

I think 1.8 brakes are a must-have for an NA6 turbo as a minimum upgrade. It still plays nice with 14” wheels I had on mine (Watanabes, Enkei, etc.)

True, but no way these will fit under the stock 14"s. Goal here is to have a completely OEM look and preserve originality as much as possible (car has less than 20k miles and it is bone stock besides the BBR fitted kit).

Big brakes aren't really required imho. I run standard size on a supercharged 1.6 no problem. Just buy decent pads and rotors. If tracking the car a lot invest in brake air ducting.

Fitting bigger calipers and rotors just increases unsprung weight.
OK, if want to know how I did the dash in Project Ronin. . .you can find the basics here

My B-spec is a 93 but was upgraded to NA8 Brakes and it feels fantastic and brakes very very well.

OP I think NA8 brakes is the move.

Planning to run FM2 turbo and honestly the 1.6 brakes suck when you add boost. Mine was formally SC but I took that off
