    NB Mid-Pipes

    Hello All,

For my NB I want something sporty but not really loud so I have decided to go with one with a high flow cat but I have no experience with any of the options.

First is the RoadsterSport. Looks really nice and is great quality.

Next is the Cobalt. Similar design but you can see in the welds its not on the same level as the RoadsterSport.

Finally is the Flyin Miata. I really like it but its is only 2.25" diameter however it offers a 5 year warranty from them and its priced in the middle of the Cobalt and the RS.

I would really appreciate all your feedback with this midpipes! Thanks.

    NB Mid-Pipes

I have the Cobalt. No problems with the welds and I wring my car pretty hard.

It was one of the first things I did when I bought the car because the original cat on the car was bad.

I added an NB2 manifold at the same time and the car already had a Racing Beat axle back. I think it’s quiet, but sporty.

The only caveat I have to offer about enlarging the midpipe is the heat issue it creates with the fuel tank, but it’s manageable with shielding.

As I recall, I bought my midpipe around this time of year 3 years ago. It was on sale and free shipping, so I got it at around $300. It shipped from Moss’ warehouse in VA so it arrived to me here in Atlanta faster than I expected.
