Is this the answer to our fitment issues with 15x8 wheels needing fender rolling?

    My situation:
I have some new Enkei J-Speeds that the rear tires rub on bumps.
I would prefer not to roll the fenders as it might affect how the mild flares that I bought will fit.
I have some no-name 15x8 wheels on the Miata now with the same size tire and they don't rub.
So maybe a slight offset change would fix my problem?
Maybe I should go for these?
They are lighter than the Enkei J-Speed wheels too.

    My Enkei J-Speeds look similar.

I will be adding these flares

A little bit to unpack, but here are the considerations for rolling/not rolling:

    • Ride height
    • Alignment
    • Tire sizing
    • Model (NA vs NB)

All of those things have an effect on whether or not you need to roll your fenders.

Oohh what the heck, I ordered a set.
I figure I can get some cash back from the J-Speeds and the tires/wheels that are on the Miata now to offset (pun intended) the financial pain.

If the wheels work out I may pick-up my son in Holland to watch the Miata's lap at Gingerman raceway at the K-Miata meet.

I still won't be ready for a track day but maybe next year if I retire and have time to work on the car.
