Anybody know what’s going on with Car Make Corn’s USA

Seems like some shady stuff. Anybody know this Kadin guy who’s been illegally trading using Car Make Corn’s name?

    Story: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPRri1yH2DX/

The real Car Make Corn’s (Japan):

The fake Car Make Corn’s USA:

Something very similar happened recently in the hifi world with Mytek and their former European distributor who basically stole their name and screwed a bunch of people.

I thought he was setup as an independent dealer?? No?? Im thinking he just took a bunch of orders and maybe got overwhelmed?? I could be wrong, or not? Anyones guess...... But the outlook is grim if you placed an order from what I have been reading online.

Crap like this is why I order with "established dealers" and dealers that invest time on the forums like Rev9, MiataRoadster, V8Roadsters, Revlimiter, etc. if you order with some fly-by-night Instagram company because it looks cool, welp I feel sorry for you son, sucker born every minute.

As of this moment it seems that Corns USA has resumed their order dispatch and I can only hope that the affected customers are being attended to now. For the few customers that I have spoken to, Corns UK and I have been able to help them receive a well entitled refund. This can potentially be achieved dependent on your payment method and financial institution. Please note that neither Corns UK or Corns JP can directly refund you, as we have no control over the finances for Kadin’s operation.

Exclamation PSA- Car Make Corn USA not officially(?) associated with Car Make Corn Japan

Just thought I would share something I came across on Instagram. Apparently Car Make Corn USA is not officially associated with Car Make Corn Japan and has been selling parts in the US with out their "approval". Here is a link to the post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPRri1yH...dium=copy_link

I actually sold Misfire's Enkei RPF1's to Kadin which were unfortunately damaged in transit and while Kadin was understanding and patient(seemed like a nice guy), his communication at times was rather poor and definitely made me wonder about being a potential customer. Obviously my experience with Kadin was as the seller but imo such things typically carryover.

I have no first hand experience with being a customer of Car Make Corn USA or knowledge of the situation at hand but thought I should pass along the info in case anyone stateside is looking to do business with them. I hope whatever is going on has a good explanation and it passes.

On the other hand I personally would be hesitant to do business with someone operating under the name of a manufacturer/vendor without expressed consent to do so.

I ordered a small handful of stuff from him. 2 out of the 3 items were correct and he took forever to respond about the incorrect item. I'm not even sure I want to give him the chance to redeem himself. But like I said...i got 2 out of 3 so there's that. I didn't realize he wasn't affiliated.

I purchased from Kadin, around 2018 or 2019 (probably 2018), and he seemed like a cool guy. Communication through Instagram DMs was pretty fast, and I received everything I had ordered, in great condition, well packaged and pretty fast, considering they had to travel all the way to Greece.

I don’t know what went wrong the past months, his Inatgram seems abandoned and the web page not up to date.

Hope everything is ok and affected parties get compensated.
