Allo from Dallas and The Meatata

Picked up my first miata recently and have put a little work into her. I present The Meatata:

Currently back up on jackstands to swap in a hard dog m1 hardcore bar, new seats, and harnesses. After that the plan is to run the car as is for the rest of the year and then start working on FI build starting in 2022 -- gotta get the power to match the meats on the car.

Looks great! Have fun with it. What’s your plans for FI? Any other mods planned? Looks like you autocross with it?

Thanks! Are you on vwvortex by chance?

Right now I'm torn between doing an MKTurbo or TrackDog kit, leaning towards TDR since they are right up the road from me. The plan for the car is autocross, HPDEs, and then on to time trials. Going to wait to do any TT stuff until I've got some more power and aero worked out.

The best amateur race cars are evolutionary, usually due to necessity and financing the effort one paycheck at a time. Rotrex supercharger vs. T3 turbo tough choice. Both will require careful attention to be track capable reliably in hot weather. See SuperSpecCup cars for ideas (https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0776121177097/). Street cars make poor race cars. Stock car is fine for HPDE. Time trials all depends on which org, class structure and budget. Sky is the limit. Good luck and have fun!
