I need to learn to develop film so I can play with black and white. The places that develop non-C41 film are a pain to get to. I've shot a few rolls of Ilford Delta and loved it, but man... it sits on my desk for months waiting for me to get it processed.

I used to use a canon 35mm. It's around here somewhere. I miss real film, and am a little depressed I never shot Kodachrome.

Kodachrome 25 back in the day - wow - what a film!! Very few other films could hold a candle to it. Revlimiter, I will definitely check out Amazon for the Reala - love the colors!

as for developing black and white, my brother does his own:

my brother lives in DC and visits NYC, Philadelphia, etc pretty often.

edit: although he does say that Walmart can develop 35mm black and white..

Might be picking up a Canon AE-1 soon. Film is enchanting.

I own one of those. Odd little camera. It's shutter priority. You select the shutter speed and leave the aperture control in auto. Or shoot it full manual. I like my F3 much more.

But the ae-1 is a fun camera.

If I can find an enlarger cheap I might start doing my own again. The biggest worry through the whole process is the first step of did I clue my roll together or not. Naturally you have to wait a bunch untill you can actually see if your negatives come out in one big globular mess or in a glorious sequence of awesome. After that its a cake walk and super fun.

Bought 'em from the original owner, the A1 even has a sweet data back. I can date my photos all the way up to 1989 lol

This from the first roll of film I ever shot using a 1987 Pentax SFX. I don't have the camera anymore, but I do have a roll of film I need to develop from a pinhole camera I made.

    I used to shoot lots of film slides and print 35mm and 2 1/4" Sq 35mm Canon F1, A1, AE1/P 21/4" Hasselblad.

Not done any film in over 2 plus years, use to do color printing too not black and white b&w is much harder to make a good print than color

If you need any repair done on your film cameras let me know I have a friend that is a master camera mechanic, I have lots of canon A series cameras to sell if you are interested
