Side note, not looking to go overboard with anything just yet. Would just like to get the car back up and running

    A rebuild cost me ~ $1750:

Machine work, new OE pistons, gaskets, seals, rings, custom head shave, tanking parts, head tested for leaks (valves) $950

    New clutch $250

New OEM BP oil pump $100

New Alternator, Starter, OEM harmonic balancer pulley, water pump $300

    Special tools $50

New injectors, hoses, belts, oil pan baffle, FPR $250

I built it myself, did a few custom performance tricks. Of course you don’t need to replace as much as I did. I wound up with a rebuilt original engine, everything as new. 205-210psi across the cylinders. Very healthy 1.6.

Slowly but surely if I do go the rebuild route id do similar. A jdm 1.6 might have to do for now if I really wanted it back on the road. Time is not on my side at the moment so the car will have to sit for awhile.

Graduating within the next year so who knows maybe my 13b dreams will come true hehehe

Ran really hot, and melted the intake side of the pistons, definitely lean caused

Will be going back to stock for now just to have it smogged. All major maintenance will be done before throwing it back in.

So excited to have the car back soon
