Turns out the dented side had fit better for some reason, other side which is not dented had more fitment issues and double sided tape will be needed to fasten one end down from bowing out.
Luckily improvisation worked out and both sides with gaps were filled nicely
Maybe the piece was warped who knows, but I highly doubt that from garage vary
