Ha ha, that about sums it up! No idea what possessed the previous owner to fit it, but it's cheap enough to make me want it. I've had a dig around and it seems to be a 220bhp engine, but opinions vary hugely as to how much it weighs. I expect it to be pretty heavy, but as a nice comfy GT car it should work well

Kind of funny that a few days after posting the above comment, I just bought another one ... G limited in need of tidying, too cheap to pass up!

Quick update with some pics ... was aiming to get rid of a few cars so I could concentrate on my "main car", the caged V Special but that's not how it worked out.

First I was told about a very cool car that might be for sale ... chased it for a few weeks but nothing was happening, so when I was offered a G Limited cheaply I jumped at it



Really ratty so may just be a breaker if the rust underneath is as bad as I think, but it's got some half decent running gear so didn't want it to be scrapped just yet!

Then the other one I had been chasing happened ... so suddenly I was out of space! Managed to sell the Zetec car to a friend as a shell for his track car, so that allowed me to collect the coolest project I've had in a while!

Nice Carbing 6 point cage with harness bar and door bars ...



but the main attraction is the engine!


So now the drive looks like this ...


And with the green car due to come back pretty soon, I think I need to finish my garage clearout quickly so I can get one hidden away!

Yep, NA 300zx V6 so about 230bhp from what I can gather. It's a car I've known about for maybe 10 years, and it's been off the road for about 8 years. Needs a service and most of the running gear (all wishbones, shocks, arbs and the rear subframe) replacing, then an exhaust making, the diff mounting properly and a few issues in the wiring sorting ... then see if it'll pass an MOT!

Cheers, I will. In France at the moment but as soon as I get back I'll be cracking into it and hope to get it road legal within a few days.

The idea is to do the minimum to get it going, so it can make it to Retro Rides at the Shelsley Walsh hill climb on the 31st August. After that I'll go through it properly and do whatever is needed to bring it up to scratch

Slight update on the fleet ... sold the low mileage silver Eunos and also the cheap G limited, so the drive is looking a bit better. Just got the V6 Eunos and my BRG car left ... although I seem to have gained a 1966 Volvo Amazon. Not an MX5, but the engine and box are out of one so close enough!!

I'll get some pics when I get a chance, it's a 1.6 although it needs work to wire it up and the induction and exhaust manifolds aren't sorted yet, so I might change it to a 1.8 before I start into all that.
