Bringing this back to life since there are some new models.

Matchbox Miata w/ 5 spoke wheels:

Matchbox Miata w/ Tri-spoke wheels (Early production run, released to public, likely harder to find):

    Hot Wheels Miata

    Matchbox Gathering 2016 Dinner Model:

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

So far I've found 2 Matchbox NDs. One for myself and the other I've already handed off to my local friend.

I have to imagine that Gathering Dinner version ain't gonna be cheap on the 2nd hand market.

A few have sold on eBay already for around $150, all three having been bought using Buy It Now and the listings have lasted less than an hour each. #1-75 were Early Registrant variants in that they have some added text on the trunk ("Fourteenth International Collectors Gathering") and only one of those has sold at $230. Personally I like the car without the added text.

I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

Looks like the NA Miata is going back into production!!!

Here is a sneak peek photo from the Hot Wheels Annual Convention In California from last week.

Look close it seems as if its a completely NEW casting as well. Not sure if they lost the old casting or just decided to freshen it up a bit

The old casting was horrible. I really hope this is all-new.

It is all new. Has roll bar, R lips, and front offset plate.

Looks like a 4-point rollbar, HotWheels put some in the first run of the Vintage Skylines 2000-GTX, and Datsun 510 Bluebird but then retooled them without, probably do the same here, will see.

GOT A FYI!!! I'm from Pa. and there is a small chain called OLLIE'S BARGAIN OUTLET, that is on the east coast to FL. as well as Kentucky I believe. They bought up Much of the TOYS R US die-cast cars as well as the Lego Ninja figures (as well as toys for your children & Grand Children for Christmas). So if that's your thing, get to one fast as they can be bought on the CHEAP!!! GOOD LUCK!
