Wait, Sig lives next door?
Yup. To the left where the old guy used to live. I always said that between the 2 garages, we would have the tools to do almost anything. I just need to talk him into getting a lift. ;P

That's awesome! I was a little worried you would get out of the game after I moved away.

It almost happened. The area really dropped off for Miata enthusiasts. So all in all, it's working out.

This makes me happy. Loved what you have done so far and I enjoy your process.
tsingson (01-23-2020)
It definitely has been a process. The car is a blast to drive and where I feel nothing more is needed to enioy it. Maybe just more time on the road? I know there is just maintenance stuff but as far as performance, it's perfect for me.
I do appreciate all the help you have given me along the way too. Along with Ethan, Tony, Andy and Jamie. Definitely couldn't have kept on it without you guys.

Been a pleasure!
Just drive it. Enjoy it for what you made it for, let the rest sort itself as it comes.

Another care package arrived. This time from GarageStar.
Another thing about GarageStar. Kenjo is amazing to deal with. I definitely will be buying from him again.
Not sure what I will be doing with the BeatRush Hardtop latches but more than likely they will be put up for sale.

I got out of work early today so I decided to install them before heading to a doctor's appointment. So while driving to my appointment, first impressions? Why didn't I do front brackets a long time ago. Car really feels solid and I didn't hear any squeaks from the front area. I only had time to install the fronts but boy did it make a difference. I will removing and replacing the rears when I get home. It's fine with me that I have to remove a few bolts to remove the top as opposed to just unlatching the hardtop. Will get pictures once I install the rears.

I love those brackets I had them in my NB but taking out the OEM bracket bolts can be quite scary.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I broke a bolt a long time ago. Been trying to come up with a good plan for removal as there is just a slight nub left.
I have a few I can’t get out, the heads are still on them. I plan to button weld nuts to the screws and use a socket. I think the heat from the welds will loosen the thread locker too.
tsingson (01-30-2020)
You know what, I completely forgot I had a welder. This may be a job for the spring but it makes sense. Looks like things are looking up again!
Demon I Am (01-31-2020)
Tried to weld the nut to screw but no bueno. Weld wouldn't stick to the little nub. Maybe somebody with more experience might be able to do it but I loaded the weld on it and it wouldn't take. It's ok. Brackets still hold. Gotta grab pics of the rear brackets too and put the BeatRush latches up for sale.
You may need a specialist. Someone to TIG a nut on there, build up some material on the stud.
