The o-rings fit real snug in there. It caught me off guard at first too but then I saw how they seal and felt better.

Took the NB to Sound Station and Security. They are the stereo shop that did the remote start and they got it working again. Extremely happy. Also had them do a basic wash since it was filthy. The shop took care of me and clay barred the car without telling me. They have a customer for life.

You need to get yourself a DA buffer and pad set. ;)

I actually have one in the garage. Hasn't been warm enough to use it this year yet.

Put your big boy pants on, Sally. ;)
This is a better time to do it in the garage over a few nights than when the summer weather kicks in 3 months from now.

I thought it was supposed to be above like 50 degrees when you wax and stuff?

I wish I could say that doing that would warm my garage but it's freezing in there during the winter. And I am being serious too. It sucks because I can't do too much in there during this time of the year. It is supposed to be warming up a bit this coming week so I guess we will see what I can get accomplished. Must be nice living in an area where the weather doesn't drop below 52 degrees.

So I had received my COPs from Fab9 after waiting over a month and being told that there was only a 3 day build time and just given excuse after excuse on why it was taking so long. I have seen on the website that it's now a 3 week build time. I have seen other people with great experiences. I get that sometimes things take a little bit longer than expected but it was more how they handled the situation that kind of bugged me. Now that is my own personal experience and other's may vary. As far as your FFS kit, I would contact them just to verify which kit would work best and an estimate of build time.

On a different note, I have been thinking about making a trip to Petersburg, VA to grab some new floor mats from Moss. Mine are just old and faded. I am trying to clean up the little things on the car so it looks like that is next along with new side mirrors if I can find some good condition silver ones.

I'm just giving you a hard time, I completely understand.

My garage is on the north end of the house in shade until the afternoon. Sometimes if I have to do work out there and it's cold, I close the garage door and open the door between the house and the garage for a little bit to let some of the heat flood in there. It usually stays agreeable after that if I'm moving around. It's not that much warmer in Atlanta than Raleigh. Sometimes, I'll do a detail over a number of days, like a panel or two at a time, go back inside and see if I want to continue. I'll leave the tricky pieces, like the bumpers, for last as I progress through the stages. Having a piece of foam or cardboard to sit on while doing it is a lot more bearable than cold concrete. I prefer it a little colder than in the heat of the summer, but try to do it before the pollen hits.

Doing the 7 stage detail on my wife's RAV4 was a like a crosstraining routine. I had to remove some of the clear bra adhesive from the front and I had no tcorrected the finish since she bought it so it was a long task altogether.

Oh yeah, I know. Just trying to stay one step ahead of you. Yeah during the winter, my garage can get brutal. My bedroom above the garage suffers because of that too. Hottest room in the summer, coldest in the winter. I will definitely be hitting the car up at the start of Spring. I can't seem to find any silver NB1 mirrors locally so I think I will pick up some of the Automotive Touchup paint in a can and do it myself along with some 2K clear.

As far as the Rav4 goes, I can only imagine. I think I will end up using some of my work bonus to have my Expedition done by someone else. I did find a steam cleaner that works amazing on carpets and took out some coffee stains from the previous owner so I will be hitting the whole truck up in the spring also. But for curious minds, this is the steamer that is a miracle worker: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bissell...?skuId=6331925

Well worth the money. Use it inside or outside and it has worked on very old stains that my bigger steam cleaner couldn't get out.

That’s a nice one for that stuff for sure!

I wish I knew you were looking for mirrors, my breaker had a trailer full of doors we sifted through last weekend.

I think painting yours is the way to go, though. You can clear freshly polished headlights too!

So after looking at Steven's COPs setup, I figured I would give it a go again. I removed the coil packs from behind the motor. Those things are a pain in the ass. Especially the plugs. Yes, I know. My engine is dirty. Very.

Here are the stupid coil packs now out.

Here is the module mounted to the firewall.

Here is where the harness is plugged in. I had to cut a little bit of the loom to be able to give me some slack to route things nicely.

So all in all, I am very, very pleased with this system. Works great for me. I have a couple of small things I will be looking to bring in for it but it might all be coming to an end.

Are you referring to me? I can't see myself doing FI. Last time I had FI, the car was down more than I drove it. I am at the point where the drive is more satisfying than how fast I can get there. I know others love and that's cool but I just want reliability and no headaches. I have enough stress at work. Trying not to let my stress relief cause anymore.
