    Typhoon Jelawat..

So I'm bored, decided to share some awesome natural destruction going here in Japistan.

Got hit with this massive typhoon and so far, it's caused the most damage in almost 5 years. +150mph winds and severe flooding.

    Anyway, here's the good stuff.

My window popped out of my rails and rain has been bubbling it at an alarmingly high rate. I have a spare set of coilovers in my room and started bashing my window back into the rail. (I have no tools in my room).

Then while I'm doing a food run for my friend and his new born baby. I stop by to snag a picture of this. His car is the silver Honda/Acura hahaha

Then had a strong gust and flipped this teggy over, it ran into the building during it's flipping and knocked out a window and a chunk of wall belonging to a female airmen on the first floor...

Here's an STI B4 with the signature STI wing ripped off...

part of our comm just got knocked out (it's commercial, don't worry) and the bowl folded in half.

here's one, one of my forum members on the local forum put up while he's running back from a family mart (it's the jap version of 7-11)

will be posting more... once the typhoon settles, odds are I'll be thrown on a recovery team and sent out on a chopper.... many more pictures to come

One question, is it common to see anime like that on side of cars or what? Why Clannad of all anime too?

most people got through ok, lots of people lost boats, and cars. Couple businesses were damaged. I haven't heard anything about any injuries or deaths, at least in my area. We went out and scouted the coast and went about 6 miles out to sea to see if anyone got dragged out. Nothing.

North side of the island got hit a lot harder than us, but that's marine territoriality and they have their own close air support. Island was pretty severely damaged though, third worst (damage wise) in japanese history. 150k people are without power.

As for the anime on the cars, it's not "uncommon" but it's not common either. You'll see a couple cars with those around. It's just their way of individuality. As for the anime, no idea, maybe they like that specific show.

Sad to hear, but it good most everyone made it ok. I looked it up and was reading something on CNN, only like 65 injuries as of this morning, I think GMT. One guy ended up loosing his finger and it now heading for Tokyo area.

I was always curious about the anime thing being on cars. I had to ask since you are their and would know more.

The anime is just weird car culture, there's quite a bit of it here.

But we haven't gotten a report of injuries yet, I came back earlier this evening and I'm not on call. So I get to rest easy.
But there has been an increase in accidents after the typhoon. There's been a large amount of accidents from people driving on the street like they would regularly, but there are trees and debris on the road. Couple accidents, including claiming a couple famous forum cars from my Oki forum.

As for the typhoon, I doubt it'll be very potent by the time it hits southern mainland
