sweet. I bought the carbon fiber APR mirrors a while ago, but kinda want to go more retro instead of track with my NA, so buying runabout m2s for the NA and putting the APRs on the NB.

Painted Runabouts. They used to be on Rooster. Sharka is wearing them proudly now and they're one of my favorite mods. So subtle. So much nicer than the dumbo ears.

Adam I have the same mirrors and I refer to them as the hippo ears. My dad has a stock nc and I refer to his as dumbo ears lol.

    HA! Hippo ears. Awesome.

I recently reversed the plastic spacer so that they'd angle down a bit more. It's not much. It puts maybe an extra cm of space between the mirror and window, but it FEELS right. I need to take a couple photos to see if there's really any visible difference.

Adam, do you have info on the ebay seller you got the convex mirrors from for your Runabouts? All I've been able to find are round blind spot mirrors. What's the diameter of the mirrors? I'm trying to plan for some Runabouts.

Jamie I asked the same question and he said it was a no name.

Jamie. I was in the same boat as you and bought the mirrors anyway. For some reason if you buy them now new they come with curved blue tinted glass already so no need.

Thanks, Andy, that's good info to know. The Runabouts are one of the few remaining items I plan on getting to complete Betty's exterior.

Runabouts are made in England. The glass is 95mm diameter; Tex have replacements in flat silver, flat anti-dazzle and convex. The blue glass is Tex's anti-dazzle glass.

    painted red mirrors.
    bought on a hunch for 5,000 Y.
turned out to be aluminum similar to runabouts.
Excellent shape due to having been painted.
