Yup, 245 all around for these as well as the MK3 which have Hankook RS4s.

Car has been down for a few weeks while my axles are apart so I've been getting a little bored. Been thinking of making a few changes.
KGWorks + RS Refine + RS Products + some time with a die grinder since the Refine rings aren't designed for this.
Of course they wouldn't go in without some Revlimiter faces, but I haven't convinced myself to fully commit to designing something.

Cluster is gorgeous but Road Star DEFINITELY deserves custom Revlimiter gauges!!

Oh, c'mon now! I had designed/laser cut KG-copy panels just to use with RS Refine and AWD rings specifically, as I did not want to cut my original one; I could send you one! You would still need to transfer all bulbs and odo screen trim into it, but at least you would not be cutting a KG panel up.
On the flip side, the end result looks amazing!
Somehow I didn't see that if you had posted it before. If I had, I probably would have gone that route. I figured they wouldn't want to be separated again anyway so the permanent modification wasn't going to be that bad.
Probably won't see this combo around since how many are going to be nutty enough to do something like cut up a KGWorks panel.

nice work...all blacked out
MIATA...incredibly fun to drive - as that is its only purpose for being.

Still waiting on some parts to get the car back on the road. Instead of tackling some useful projects on my list, it seems like I always get distracted and go for something that just catches my mood. I've been wanting to retrim the vinyl door panel tops and the crash pad ever since I made the carbon door panels. I though black Alcantara would soften the carbon look up, but never got around to it. I even removed it from my list (yes I have an actual list of shit to do) since I didn't think I would ever get around to it since there are so many other things that are more productive that need attention. I guess since I've been messing with the interior lately, I just got the urge to finally do it.
The most difficult part of the entire process was getting the crash pad off. I referred to pics from Revlimiter's blog on his crash pad gauge install and went after it with an interior trim tool. After a bit of work prying at it, it came off in mostly 1 piece. Fortunately just some of the plastic backing broke off. Not too big a deal. The vinyl is glued on very well so I decided to just cover the entire thing. In order to ensure good adhesion, I sanded it down with 220 grit. That eliminated any oils or whatever might have been on there plus scuffed it up for the glue to stick.
I went a bit overboard and sanded it pretty much flat, getting rid of almost all the vinyl texture. It felt almost like plastic at this point. I wiped it down with acetone and then used 3M 38808 headliner adhesive to glue down the fabric. It's really sticky stuff! It look 7.5" of material. I repeated the same process for the door panel tops. Since my material wasn't backed, I again just covered the old foam backed vinyl. 9" of material each. I purchased 1 yard so I had a little left over, conveniently just enough to do the A-pillar trim and the top of the windshield frame using the same process.
The car is stuck in the garage so the lighting isn't great. More pics soon. It was an easy project that I think made nice change in the feel of the interior.

Always love reading your updates. Definitely one of my favorite Miata builds all time.

It's finally mobile again so I was able to take it out for a short test drive and get a couple more pics. Inching closer to being "done."
I have a couple more very small things lined up for the interior when I get the time. I'm also trying to decide if I want to go forward with the next major overhaul.
The reason why the car was down for months. I kind of jumped the gun getting it done because I'm not 100% committed to going through with it. Can you tell what's new?

Back on this gauges thing, but something different. I picked up a set of replica Refine rings to check out the quality. They're actually pretty nice and since they're cnc made, about spot on. Unfortunately they're only made to fit stock or AWD clusters, unless you want to cut up a KG Works like I did for my NB with genuine RS Refine rings. So I went ahead with another little project.
My next update will hopefully be for something actually useful.

There hasn't been much to update lately. Thought I might as well post a few recent pics that are already on my IG, just to get something on here.
I finally decided to get around to the SSR Formula Mesh refurbishing project. The rears are 15x10 -27. They started pretty oxidized so it's taking a good amount of time to clean them up.
But after media blasting the faces and a lot of polishing, they're getting there.
I think I'm going to go with classic vintage Gold for the faces since I don't have any wheels in that color, but not 100% yet.
