Benbrg, I have a 92 red miata that I'm deciding to put up for sale. 193k miles, but have maintenance records since day one (including window sticker). Car is immaculate and never been modified. I'm going to ask $4000 (comes with hardtop with defroster and headliner). I am the second owner and have had it for about two months (first owner drove 192K miles). Car has lived its entire life in the Bay Area.

PM me if you're interested. I'm in the East Bay Area in NorCal. (I'm assuming you're in NorCal as well?)

I would like nothing more than to fix her, but if anything happens to that car it would ruin me financially. Hopefully I can find someone with better means who can give her a good home and a proper restoration. As it's sits, I'm heartbroken that this has happened. I'm giving that Florida one a call tomorrow. It's a long shot, but maybe I can start over with that car.
Sorry about your car, it will definitely be tough trying to restore it back especially if you are a student like me. But if you have a place to keep it until the time is right to fix it then that could be an option too, unless you just want to sell it. A body shop can fix that easily if you provide them a rear clip. Ive seen it happen a few times where the owner just buys a new back clip, but it will probably cost you 3-4k and that's with paint included on the portion that needs replacing. I don't know how much you can sell a miata in that condition, you might be better of parting it out. However, that car is getting hard to find, a resurrection would be nice.

Speedypenguin, I've seen many pictures of that car along with your black one. I am very jealous. But, I'm not the right person for that car. I can't give it a garage or the time to keep it in such beautiful condition. Thank you for offering. It's a shame that you're trying to get rid of it already. It looked like you had the perfect garage.

Bobo, I wish I could afford to keep it as a long term project, but buying a second car would make it an expensive proposition in itself. Hopefully she will be resurrected. If not by me, by somebody else.

Psh. A boring one maybe. This car has much better goodies than the brg. If I make any changes, they will be largely unnoticeable.

I think that covers it. No issues except the synchros are worn. You have to baby her into 3rd.

    It is a nice car.
