    Junkman's Water Restricted Washing Regime

In this video, I provide a method for washing a car without the assistance of a water hose. This washing regime consist of two buckets, one with soap and one with water and three wash mitts. One mitt for the top half of the car, one mitt for the bottom half of the car and one mitt to rinse with. I explain how the process is done, along with the products that you will need.

One thing that I didn't address was the wheels. They can be washed last, using another washing medium like a 4th mitt from Auto Zone. This washing regime is perfect for those of you who live in areas where washing with a hose is not allowed or not available. It also works great at a car show if you have to drive a long distance.

Have at it boys and girls!

Thanks for the tips Junk although I have to admit that if I were in a water-restricted situation, I'd save some quarters for the car wash.

I'm with you man, but a lot of my mates across the big pond have no choice so I had to come up with something for them.

we have plenty of water restrictions right here in central Florida area, generally during the dry months, also I have been to car shows and everyone is using the car wash and there is no other options, so this is great info for sure!

thanks again for the great tips and tricks as always!!

Didn't know you guys in Florida were on a water lock down! I always thought you guys got more than your fair share of water with all the hurricanes running through the state. Or is the Weather Channel making more about that than there really is...

No way! It's actually the opposite. A hurricane is temporary but a million people moving here every year and using up our water supply is the norm. I cringe when they build some horseshit "golf" community with houses in the millions and the local news has stories about how the rest of us should take a "two-bucket" shower or not water our lawns under threat of prison.

Tons of salt water around Florida, that wouldn't hurt a car, we northerners drive in it-LOL, actually the driving in it part isn't funny. Seriously, rinseless washes such as Turtle Wax work well for light dirt and you only use about a gallon or two of water, you could use tonic water so as to not get thrown in the slammer.

Club soda would be an acceptable substitute for washing a car.
