    Mazda Sports Corner

Anyone have any good images of the logo for Mazda Sports Corner? Mazda Sports Corner was the name of the Mazda works racing team, before it became Mazdaspeed.

Sorry for thread bump, but I’m working on some of this myself.

Near as I can tell, Mazda Sports Corner never had a logo, since it was started by Takayoshi Ohashi out of Mazda Auto Tokyo (Mazda’s largest dealer at the time.)

Historically, I think this is the closest to an origin design:

Later, it looked like this for a short time before becoming “Mazdaspeed.” But again, no real logo.

Yup. Just a generic typeface on all the catalogs and the early cars; no consistency to it as it varies across catalogs and livery.

I don’t think Mazda Sports Corner ever had a logo/designed typeface until they became Mazdaspeed in 1983.

I had another one on a similar topic...

    Does anyone recognize this logo:

It's on a Mazdaspeed steering wheel and also appears on the box itself (so Im ruling out 3rd party... but who knows):

I'm guessing it's a predecessor to the 90s Mazdaspeed logo that looks like this:

    Anybody?

I'm fairly certain that while the logotype may have originated in the 90's, the logo mark above the text is much newer than that. I remember seeing it for the first time in either 2009 or 2010.

Never seen the yellow/gray one before, it certainly does look like a precursor to the current one. I've been searching on Google for other instances of it being used and have yet to find anything.

Yes that is a VERY old logo from Mazdaspeed Club, pre-1990s, I have a photo of that somewhere in my Mazdaspeed catalogs, you gonna bite on that one? $900 is kinda high IMHO, sold mine last month for $500 MINT and everyone thought i was selling too high LOL
