lol...As usual, I just had no idea what to call it
BTW...did you actually glue it on? Noticed the dried blackish liquid.

OOOOOOOOH...Steve: did you use a heat gun on it? Is that just the adhesive from the stripping itself?

I ran back to back tests with the foam baffles in and out as described in the previous posts. At idle, these was a 1-2db delta with the advantage going for the baffles in.
I then drove the car on the expressway, which is Hwy 400/19. The freeway is 4 lanes x 2 (4 lanes north, 4 south), resurfaced/grooved concrete. There are elevation changes, but enough steady throttle to get accurate results. I went no higher than 5k RPMs accelerating, and engaged the cruise control once I achieved 80mph and left it there.
Baffles in:
Baffles removed:
This confirms what I saw glimpsing the meter as I drove, about a 2.5-5db difference across the range in the duration. This is not insignificant for such a simple mod.
Pretty interesting.
Curious: where was the mic? Since the interior is such an echo chamber, sound volume depends a lot on where you're listening from.
Either way, good info!

Ah, great point! The mic was my iP6 mounted on the left eyeball vent of the centerstack.
