Turn the hardware around on your sway bar end links so that the bolt head is pointed towards the front of the car. The head is much thinner than the nylon lock-up.
I agree its not hard to stay within the limits, but the few I spoke with who were upset said if they'd known before they'd brought their "quiet" setup.
I know a few people who came down ran afoul of AMP's sound limits last year weren't happy. I didn't see it posted anywhere on the event information. I know my car comes just under the limit...
Signed up!
I agree on backyard machining. I prefer to keep my bodging to non-critical areas.
Thanks for doing the legwork on the Dorman hubs. I was about to order a set for my race car build and do exactly what you did.
Word of advice on the HF press, replace all the critical bolts with...

I was really thinking about getting a set of Carbon Miata's Mazdaspeed A-Spec reps, but after seeing that Rev9 now offers Jubiride skirts, I might change my mind:
Jubiride:...
Ouch. Glad you're ok. Sucks to loose a project to someone else's stupidity.
The days of OE's slapping turbos or special engines in limited run cars is coming to an end. It costs way too much for design and testing in this thin-profit time frame. If they can't past the...
My Ecoboost (3.5L) F150 gets terrible gas mileage (17mpg winter and 18mph summer) and doesn't sound nearly as good as a Coyote. Maybe if I add Ford GT style antilag....
Congrats on the purchase. Deep Impact is definitely one of the best colors on the S197's and S550's.
Nice collection (past and present). I love the yellow SW.
They definitely aren't the most accurate. For example, I swapped to a 6 speed and 3.9 final drive in my NA. I put in a 4.1 sending unit (tallest I had laying around for a cable driven speedo) and my...
The speed sender is easy to replace. Remove speedo cable (NA) or unhook electrical connector (NB), remove one 10mm head bolt, swap sender, reverse for installation.
I love the shots! Thanks for being out there. The spray coming off the cars gives everything a total different visual dynamic.
I plan on it.

Saw your car at MBTG but didn't get a chance to introduce myself.
Got my car ready Saturday. Just need to put a few miles on it to double check a few changes and get my tech inspection done.
Don't remind me. My car is still in pieces, but I'm getting closer. I still have to wire in a USB power port, swap out the drivers seat and harness, bleed the brakes, check all the suspension...

I find you always have to pay careful attention to what rates they are charging at what times of year. They often advertise their "off-season" rates. I cabin I found on AirBnB was pretty close to...
There is a great thread on MiataTurbo.net with the hierarchy of steering racks spacers and tie rods in terms or reducing bumpsteer. IIRC that steering rack spacers and R/LE tie rods are the best for...
