Come out and meet the "east side" crew, we generally get 10 to 20 Miatas every week, but this week is special, its our End of the Year Meeting!!! Expect to see some 50+ Miatas, V8 Miata's , Turbo'd, Supercharger, & wide bodied madness. So come on out and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow Miata owners. This week you can also race some cool Hot Wheels cars on the old school Orange racetrack for a chance at some prizes!
We will also have a club member raffle, as well as winners for the down hill races!!!

The challenge is to see who has the fastest 1/64 Scale Hot Wheels car!
NOTE: Only Hot Wheels will be able to compete in the racing, they can be from years 1978 and newer, any series, from the $1.00 basic line cards or the $4.99 premium line cards, RLC cards, and up, they must be "unopened" and on the factory blister card, this class racing is known as an "Open Stock" downhill race.

Must be a 1/64 scale "Hot Wheels" car, no Matchbox, no Etrl, no Johnny Lighting, etc,
We will have some Hot Wheels available for purchase at the meet for $1.00 if you don't have any, or you can just go raid the local Target, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Toys'R'Us stores!!!!
OFFICIAL DOWNHILL RACING RULES
1. All cars entered Must be standard Hot Wheelsฎ vehicles, no Matchbox, no Etrl, no Johnny Lighting, no Tomy, etc,
2. Hot Wheels cars must be 1/64 scale (carded size). Cars must not larger than 1-5/16” wide, 1-3/4” tall and 3-3/8” long.
3. Hot Wheels cars must be "unopened" and on the factory blister card prior to race.
(so don't open until race time or your car is disqualified) Must pass visual inspection.
4. NO MODIFICATIONS ARE ALLOWED ON ANY OF THE VEHICLES
5. Open Stock Race - 1978 and newer Hot Wheels vehicles only.
6. You must be 16 years or older to race, this is outside next to a Bar.
(if you want to race your kids car that is fine though.)
7. Each race will be single elimination.
8. Cars will be original, non-modified and non-powered Hot Wheelsฎ vehicles.
9. No oil, graphite, silicone or any other substance is allowed.
10. One car per person.
11. The same car, chassis, and body must be used for the entire race.
12. Any car that jumps the track is eliminated !!
13. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second and Third place winners.
14. All cars will be inspected (on the cards) at time of entry.
15. Winners of each race heat will receive a winners ticket that registers them for the next round
16. Winners will be asked to stand next to the track for the next round of races.
17. All Judge’s decision are FINAL.
18. All cars are subject to inspection at anytime during the races.

Here is actual 1/64 scale downhill racing, this is where the weight, and wheels of the cars can make all the difference!
This is from the big Hot Wheels Convention they have every year in California.
That track is something like 40 feet long. Mine is not as long, but still bigger than the store bought stuff.
They used to run downhill races like this in Tampa but folks started betting "real" money and it got shut down.
